1.1. LIVING AND NON-LIVING THINGS

Everything around us can be divided into two groups: living things and non-living things.
Living things are born, grow, eat, breathe and reproduce. People, animals and plants are all living things.
Non-living things do not eat or grow. Some non-living things are natural, which means that people do not make them. Water, air and rocks are non-living things. Other non-living things are man-made, which means that people make them. Cars, buildings and clothes are man-made non-living things.
